Most modern video platforms utilize protocols like HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) or Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH). Instead of delivering a single large video file (like an MP4), the server breaks the video into hundreds of small segments, typically 2 to 10 seconds long. The player automatically selects the optimal quality segment based on the user's current internet speed. The player requests 1080p segments.
