Bliss was born out of a desire to create a modern commercial typeface with a distinctly "English" feel. Bliss 2 Font Family
The design is rooted in the humanist tradition, drawing inspiration from Johnston (the London Underground typeface), Gill Sans, and Syntax. From the original designer Jeremy Tankard, Bliss 2
