The series is set in a fictional world where magic and mythical creatures exist. The story follows Alina Starkov (played by Jessie Cavell), a young orphan who discovers she has the ability to summon and control an ancient magic known as the "Grisha". Alina is forced to join the Grisha, a group of magical beings with extraordinary abilities, to help defend the kingdom against dark forces.
