The story revolves around the strict and authoritative head of the Narayan family, Baldev Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), who owns a prestigious school in Delhi. His sons, Raj (Shahrukh Khan) and Siddharth (Akshaye Khanna), have been groomed to take over the family business. However, things take a dramatic turn with the arrival of three young teachers - Nandini (Manisha Koirala), Aisha (Aishwarya Rai), and Kirti (Preity Zinta) - who bring a breath of fresh air to the school.
