Following Babel , Santa Sabina parted ways with Culebra Records and released Mar adentro en la sangre as an independent production, marking a new chapter in their career. The album title, which translates to "Into the blood sea," hints at a more personal and introspective lyrical direction. While the band had always been experimental, this album saw them embracing a rawer, more direct sound without sacrificing their signature complexity.
