The narrative follows the Buddhist monk Tang Sanzang (Feng Shaofeng) and his three protectors—Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok), Zhu Bajie (Xiao Shenyang), and Sha Wujing (Him Law)—as they accidentally enter the Woman's Kingdom of Western Liang. In this isolated land, men are viewed as "poisonous" and are forbidden by ancient law. The conflict arises when the young Queen (Zhao Liying) falls in love with Tang Sanzang, forcing the monk to choose between his personal feelings and his divine mission to retrieve sacred scriptures in India. : On their journey to the West, the monk Tang Sanzang and his three disciples stumble upon the "Womanland of Western Liang," a kingdom inhabited solely by women. Men are considered a capital offense, and an ancient prophecy foretells that the arrival of a monk and his disciples will bring about the kingdom's fall. However, the young Queen falls in love with Sanzang, creating a powerful conflict between her duty to her people and her own heart, and forcing the monk to choose between his love for one person or all sentient beings.
