The movie begins with the introduction of the Raichand family, who are one of the wealthiest and most influential families in Mumbai. The family consists of Mr. Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan), his wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan), and their son Yash (Akshaye Khanna). Their lives are turned upside down with the arrival of their daughter-in-law, Pooja (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), who brings a fresh perspective to the family.
