"Angel Heart" tells the story of Miao-Wei, a young man played by Franco Chiang (Jiang Guobin). To protect his uncle, Miao-Wei takes the fall for a crime and is sentenced to prison. His time behind bars is brutal; he is repeatedly sexually assaulted. To mentally escape the horrific reality, he fantasizes about a pure, innocent girl from his hometown—his childhood sweetheart, Wenny (Vivian Hsu).
